Pardo Locarno, Luis Carlos | 2014
Because of multiple phytosanitary restrictions have decimated the
productiveness of the farming of chontaduro (Bactris gasipaes Kunth,
Espadicifloríneas: Arecaceae), principal agricultural pacific line of the rural zone
of Buenaventura and of many parts of the Colombian Pacific coast, this
technical note focused to updating the phytosanitary diagnosis of the farming as
for plagues of the stipe, foliage and fruit; the samplings and capture of
information were realized in Sabaletas (small town No. 8, Buenaventura, msnm,
rain tropical forest, acid unsaturated soils) practising visits coordinated to
farmers, in which the following activities went forward: Technical diagnosis of
farmings, descriptive poll and evaluation of phytosanitary problems and
exposition of alternatives agroecological; the results point at the assertion of a
complex of borers of stipe: Rhinosthomus barbirostris (F), Rhynchophorus
palmarum L, Dynamis borassi Fab, Metamasius hemipterus, M. dasyurus
Champion, M. submaculatus Champion, M. hebetatus Gyllenhal, M. cerosinus
Vaurie, M. inaequalis Gyllenhal and of rachis to foliate possibly integrated for
Rhodobaenus aff. nauradii Kirsch and Cholus sp; For the first time, the false
"casanga", Dynamis borassi, it registers as a serious plague, responsible for
countless dead bushes; the report details in every case the importance of the
plague and advances on possibilities of handling; Considering in the region, for
many years, it is recommended to recapture the technical prevailing gap and to
extend basic aspects of the plan of integrated handling, focused to
sostenibilidad.
