Resumen
This report describes the activities carried out during the internship conducted in the Engineering and Infrastructure Department of the Port Society of Buenaventura (SPB), where the intern had the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired throughout their academic training in both technical and administrative areas. During the internship, the assigned tasks focused on supervising and monitoring work, explaining plans, organizing activities, providing administrative support, and overseeing various types of facility maintenance performed within the maritime terminal. Based on the different construction processes carried out daily in these facilities, activities aimed at the restoration and maintenance of infrastructure in different areas of the port were identified and executed, according to the results obtained from the corresponding evaluation processes. Throughout the 240 hours required by the graduation protocol, the intern strengthened key competencies such as blueprint interpretation, project management, technical regulations, and construction safety practices. Additionally, evidence was collected through photographic records and verification of the items established in the project budget, ensuring compliance with the technical specifications and dimensions of the activities carried out. This information was recorded and reported daily to the project oversight director for review and control. This experience allowed the intern to consolidate both theoretical and practical knowledge in a real business environment, actively contributing to the maintenance and restoration of the port’s infrastructure.
