El patrimonio cultural material e inmaterial es cada vez mas reconocido como factor decisivo tanto en los procesos de cohesión social y afirmación de la pertenencia e identidad cultural como en el desarrollo económico de cada pueblo. El trabajo parte de los objetos de la ley de cultura y la ley de Desarrollo Territorial, que buscan establecer mecanismos que permitan a las entidades nacionales, departamentales y municipales competentes la prevención y defensa del patrimonio ecológico, ambiental y cultural localizado en sus ámbito territorial. En este caso, el patrimonio cultural inmaterial e inmueble como el sistema estructurante de la ciudad y el municipio de Buenaventura.

The tangible and intangible cultural heritage is increasingly recognized as a decisive factor both in the processes of social cohesion and affirmation of cultural belonging and identity, as well as in the economic development of each people. The work is based on the objects of the culture law and the Territorial Development law, which seek to establish mechanisms that allow competent national, departmental and municipal entities to prevent and defend the ecological, environmental and cultural heritage located in their territorial scope. In this case, the intangible and intangible cultural heritage as the structuring system of the city and the municipality of Buenaventura.
