Abstract Studies on soybean have been carried out in both regions, which indicates that there is no subjective research on the subject. In the village of Gamboíta Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, the present work appreciates the establishment of a demonstrative soybean (Glycine max) seedbed as the axis of the transfer process. Considered as an axis of food security, it was based on its high nutrient content to evaluate its agronomic behavior (height and number of leaves; and pests and diseases), also its agronomic characteristics such as flowering time, number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod and ripening time, along with cultural practices and biological consumption. With the results obtained, it was determined that although soybean can be grown with careful agronomic care, it is still necessary to perform a soil analysis before planting soybean in Buenaventura to determine the location of the soil and provide adequate management if necessary.
